Dodge Challenger technology gets more powerful

Since the creation of the internal combustion engine, engineers have been trying to produce more speed and more power. Engines have gotten bigger and more efficient while getting every ounce of speed available. When you thought you had seen everything, along comes the Power Chiller in the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

Don't take our word for it, take the word of Popular Science. The magazine listed the Power Chiller on its list of the best of What's New for 2017.

The Power Chiller is the key component of the record-setting 840-horsepower engine in the Challenger SRT Demon, a 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8. So how does it work? The Power Chiller uses refrigerant to cool air as it passes through the radiator and into the supercharger. Cooler air is denser and contains more oxygen molecules. More oxygen equals more fuel and produces more power.

With that kind of dedication, you can be sure Dodge engineers has worked hard to make your car great. Stop by Brookfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to find out more or to arrange a test drive.
