Despite its luxurious nature, the Grand Cherokee still maintains its off-road capabilities, which are a hallmark of the Jeep brand. There are three powertrain options available at dealerships like the Stevensville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer, including V6 and V8 engines, as well as a plug-in hybrid system known as 4xe.
The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in six trim levels: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. There’s also a 4xe plug-in hybrid model. All models except the 4xe are powered by a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that develops 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 4xe features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder plug-in hybrid powertrain that generates 375 hp and 470 lb-ft. An available 5.7-liter V8 engine makes 357 hp and 390 lb-ft. All models are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Models with the V6 engine get standard rear-wheel drive and available four-wheel drive. V8 and 4xe models get standard four-wheel drive.
The 2023 Grand Cherokee is a two-row midsize SUV that’s well-suited for both suburban and off-road environments, with plenty of room for passengers and cargo. Customers of the Stevensville Jeep dealer appreciate this versatile SUV’s perfect blend of ruggedness and refinement. While the base model offers more mainstream features, move up to the higher trims, and you’ll enjoy luxury features and upscale materials that elevate it to the upper echelon of its class.
The automotive media gives the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee high marks. Edmunds writes: “The Jeep Grand Cherokee has a lot of good things going for it. It’s comfortable and relatively spacious, and it offers class-leading towing and genuine off-road capability. We also like its well-tuned advanced driving aids that help make driving easier and safer.”
The interior of the Jeep Grand Cherokee stands out in its class for its high-quality design and materials, particularly in the higher trim levels. The Grand Cherokee’s spacious seating accommodates tall adults comfortably. In addition to leather seats, which are standard on all but the base trim, the upper trims offer luxurious features such as massaging seats, four-zone climate control, and premium stereo systems, including a 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.
Standard features for the base Grand Cherokee Laredo trim include 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry and ignition, heated mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, roof rails, a digital instrument panel, an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an audio system with six speakers, and six USB ports.
Driver assistance features that come standard include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, forward collision mitigation, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors with automatic braking.
Move up to the upper trim levels, and you’ll get features on par with expensive luxury SUVs. The range-topping Summit Reserve comes with Palermo leather upholstery, massaging front seats, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 19-speaker McIntosh stereo setup, and a host of advanced safety features.
As of this writing, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to test the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, the 2022 model received the organization’s highest overall safety rating of five stars. We expect an identical score for the 2023 Grand Cherokee.
