The new Grand Cherokee Laredo X includes a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, a vinyl and suede interior, a power liftgate, remote start, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation. The Limited trim has an optional Sun and Sound Package that adds a sunroof and an audio system with nine speakers. The Laredo trim now has standard 18-inch painted machine cast-aluminum wheels, and the Limited X models gets all Gloss Black exterior details.
The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee seats five passengers and is offered in seven trim levels: Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, SRT and Trackhawk. Most models get a choice between rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The SRT and Trailhawk get standard performance-oriented four-wheel-drive systems. All models get an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

There are four engines on offer. The standard unit is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that develops 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can choose an available 5.7-liter V8 that generates 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. The Grand Cherokee SRT trim gets a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, while the Trackhawk is motivated by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that blasts out 707 hp and 645 lb-ft. Towing capacity tops out at 7,400 pounds.
The SRT and Trackhawk trims feature five dynamic drive modes that let owners customize their ride. These modes individually control the Grand Cherokee’s four-wheel-drive system, suspension, transmission, paddle shifters, steering and stability control.
An available Quadra-Lift air suspension allows the vehicle to lower itself to provide easy access or lift up to 10.6 inches, offing maximum clearance for rising above challenging obstacles. The Trailhawk model features an off-road version of this suspension system.
The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee provides plenty of cargo space to store and transport items, with 36.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 68.3 cubic feet with the seats folded.
