Take the capability of a midsize truck and combine it with the sensibilities of a Jeep and you'll have something incredible: the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The folks at the Niles Jeep dealer tell us to think of the Gladiator as a Wrangler Unlimited with a cargo bed. Of course, it wouldn't be a Jeep if it didn't offer incredible off-road chops that no rival can match.
The new 2020 Jeep Gladiator has the muscle required to pull and haul large payloads. According to the Niles Jeep dealership, properly outfitted, the Gladiator has a maximum towing capacity of 7,650 pounds, which is more than any vehicle in its class. There's one 5-foot cargo bed that's easy to access. It features a special tailgate configuration that allows you to carry 4x8 plywood sheets. The Gladiator is a great choice for anyone looking for a midsize pickup that offers outstanding capability, a superior off-road experience and a fun ride.
Automotive reviewers are thrilled by the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, with Truck Trend writing: "If there is one thing our brief time with the Gladiator has proven, it's that this truck is so much more than a Wrangler with a bed and quite possibly the new standard in the midsize pickup class. With so much function, so many features, and all of the capability you'd expect from a Jeep, it's hard to see where a Gladiator wouldn't be an attractive option for someone who needs a pickup and loves the trail."
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator seats five. This four-door midsize truck is offered in four trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Overland and Rubicon. Four-wheel drive is standard across the lineup. Powering the Gladiator is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an available eight-speed automatic.
Standard features for the base Gladiator Sport trim include trailer-sway control, LED interior lighting, in-bed cargo lighting, push-button start, cloth seats, a 5-inch display, and storage compartments in the rear passenger area and behind the seats.
Choose the Sport S trim and you'll also get power windows, power locks for the doors and tailgate, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, illuminated sun visors and remote keyless entry.
The Overland trim includes 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, a universal garage-door opener, a vehicle theft alarm, a 7-inch display screen, dual-zone climate control, a 115-volt outlet, and two additional USB and USB-C ports. Available features include leather-trimmed seats, LED lighting and a body-colored hardtop.
The Rubicon trim comes with standard 33-inch all-terrain tires, lockable front and rear differentials, a front stabilizer bar that can be disconnected, premium cloth seats and LED center-console lighting.
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator comes with convertible soft-top and hardtop options. The doors are removable, and the windshield can be folded forward to provide the open-air Jeep experience, something you won't find in any competing vehicle.
Safety features that come standard include a rearview camera. Optional safety gear includes blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning.
