2019 is a big year for the Ram 1500 full-size, light-duty pickup truck because it's the first year of the all-new fifth-generation of this legendary pickup. When you check out the 2019 Ram 1500 range at the Bridgman Ram dealer, you'll find it comes in six trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited. There's the Lone Star trim level, but that one is a Texas-only model.
Of course, the trim levels are only the start of the 2019 Ram 1500 specification journey. When you visit a Ram dealer in Bridgman to buy your new Ram 1500, you're also going to be presented with a myriad of engine, bed, cab, drivetrain and upgrade options. However, here's what you can expect from the six basic trim levels.
The Tradesman lives up to its name as it's an affordable truck. Primarily designed for work applications, it now gets far more than just the very basics. Standard features include: the Uconnect 3 infotainment system with 5.0-inch display, manual temperature control, a USB port, vinyl 40/20/40 front bench seat with manual adjust, 18-inch steel wheels, Keyless go, ParkView rear backup camera, a tire pressure monitoring system and remote keyless entry. Standard safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS brakes and an electronic park brake.
Among the exterior upgrades, the Big Horn adds to the features of the 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman are a chrome-surround/black billet grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, chrome bumpers, and chrome front brow bezel and door handles. Additional interior amenities include carpeted floors, premium vinyl door trim panels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, three USB ports and a 3.5-inch monochrome cluster.
On top of the standard Big Horn features, the Rebel adds unique black interior trim with red accents, a full-length reconfigurable center console, a seven-inch Rebel color reconfigurable cluster, and SiriusXM Radio with a twelve-month trial. The exterior is enhanced with a unique black-surround grille, a sport performance hood, powder-coated bumpers, LED lights, body-color door handles, and a black dual exhaust for models equipped with HEMI V8 engines.
Things start to get luxurious when buyers get to the Laramie trim. The front seat is a leather-trimmed 40/20/40 bench, and the heated and ventilated front seats include a memory function. The audio system is a premium unit with ten speakers and a subwoofer, and the infotainment system is the Uconnect 4 with an 8.4-inch display. There are five USB ports and two power outlets in the Laramie, and LED ambient interior lighting, remote start and dual-zone climate control also come standard.
Inside the Laramie Longhorn, the upholstery is premium leather with wood interior treatment. Once again, the infotainment system is upgraded; this time it's to Uconnect 4C that includes navigation. Outside buyers will notice impressive 20-inch alloy wheels, premium LED headlamps and plenty of chrome accents. This model also comes standard with a power-release tailgate, a spray-in bed liner, and ParkSense front-and-rear park assist with Rear ParkSense Stop.
The Limited trim ramps up the luxury even further with its own Limited-specific premium leather interior, and the Uconnect 4C NAV infotainment gets a massive twelve-inch display. Outside, there are 20-inch cast-aluminum wheels with premium painted inserts, a unique chrome-surround Limited grille, power running boards and chrome body styling. Safety is also enhanced with the inclusion of the Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path and Trailer Detection feature.
